My name is Tony Bolland and I’m the Managing Partner at MEV. I’m a former CEO turned investor.
Over the last 30 years I’ve worked in software and had the privilege of working with so many successful people across all disciplines.
I’m passionate about helping inspiring, ambitious founders navigate their journey. Business is never straight forward, and I have experienced almost every problem associated with scaling a fast growth software company.
Over the last few years we’ve expanded the scope of Most Excellent Ventures and our team now includes other CEO’s, we can provide fractional leaders in technology, marketing, sales and finance. It’s the people that ultimately make the difference and I believe it’s the network of co-investors and partners that will greatly magnify the chances of success for early stage companies.
Successful exits
As investors we are hyper-focussed on finding exceptional leaders, with AI powered SaaS solutions that have the potential to make it big. We don’t win until the founders win. Portfolio companies that have exited have realised in excess of £100m.

We have invested in fantastic software companies that have raised hundreds of £millions in growth capital. That said, our most successful investment has been into usecure which has grown organically and has not required institutional investment.
We thrive on helping to achieve mutual success and we expect to see unicorns and billions of pounds returning to founders and investors in the coming years.
